About the Event


Welcome to NOURISH: Autumn Retreat for Women


Do you lead a full life and value the deep benefits of self-care and community? You are invited to steep in a whole day of nourishment for your body, mind, and soul, whilst sharing an intimate group experience of sisterhood and heart-centered connection. You will be supported to show up just as you are, tend to your inner landscape, and replenish your cup—so that you can go back out into the world with a renewed sense of energy to be the bright soul that you are and do the awesome things you do.


In this Autumn session, we will harvest the fruits of our labor, take stock, and give gratitude. We will prepare for the winter ahead by slowing our rhythm and turning inward. We will do the sacred work of surrender—honoring what is ready to go, and softening our ego-mind to new possibilities.


In our time together, you will be guided through:

~ Embodiment practices to invite presence and inhabit your body more fully

~ Authentic Movement as a way to witness and be witnessed in compassion and non-judgment

~ Group Intuitive Readings with Dana for clarity, insight, and healing

~ Multi-instrumental sound bath to reset your nervous system and access a deeper state of calm & peace

~ Opening & closing circles offering ritual, connection, and a container for the retreat experience


You will also be fed a nourishing lunch, and have access to the beautiful sauna space and cold plunge during free time.


Retreat Space:

Our setting is in a gorgeous private studio in Concordia with beautiful architecture, art, gardens, patio, & sauna —the perfect place to take in the fall leaves and nestle into nourishment, right in the heart of Northeast Portland. This truly is a unique opportunity to get to host our NOURISH Retreats here. If you've been, you know what we mean! It is quite exquisite. To maintain privacy, exact address will be given upon registration.


Program Schedule (subject to minor changes):

  • 9:00am - 9:15am: Arrival & mingling

  • 9:15am - 10:00am: Opening circle

  • 10:00am - 12:00pm: Embodiment & Authentic Movement practices

  • 12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch

  • 2:00pm - 4:00pm: Intuitive Reading Circles / Sauna / Rest

  • 4:00pm - 5:15pm: Sound bath

  • 5:15pm - 6:00pm: Closing circle & goodbyes

Dana Hersh is a passionate teacher, facilitator, and intuitive healer offering doorways into inner wisdom. She combines her natural gifts of clairvoyance, training in various healing modalities, musicianship, and leadership to help people on the path of awakening gain clarity, release blocks, and align with their authentic path.

FAQ & Details:

Embodiment Practice 

This will be a simple exploration of arriving in the space, landing in your body and breath, and following your inner impulse to move.

Authentic Movement 

Authentic Movement is a form of expressive arts therapy in which individuals discover a movement pathway that offers a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious. This practice explores the relationship between a mover and a witness, being seen and seeing. The mover has their eyes closed and listens inwardly until finding a movement that arises from a natural impulse, following the thread wherever it takes them. The witness brings a receptive quality of clear attention and space holding for the mover, offering presence, curiosity and non-judgment. Cultivation of this practice fosters a perception of self and other that evokes deep respect and empathy. (Reference: Authentic Movement Institute)


For purposes of this retreat, we will likely have multiple movers and witnesses occurring simultaeneously, and we will close with a harvest, i.e. sharing of what was witnessed and experienced.

Group Intuitive Readings 

Intuitive Readings offer a high-level perspective into what you are currently navigating, with insight around personal dynamics, challenges, gifts and opportunities for growth. Dana reads the energy field and tunes into her channels of guidance to relay messages that support you on your path of awakening.


In a Group Intuitive Reading, Dana will offer mini individual readings to those who wish to participate. The messages shared are for each specific person, and they may also resonate with others in the circle. It is an opportunity to receive a small dose of focused guidance and witness each other in a space of curiosity, respect and support.


For purposes of this retreat, we will break out in two smaller groups and have two rounds of readings to create a further sense of intimacy and have more time per person.

Sound Bath 

In this juicy multi-instrumental sound bath, you will be immersed in vibrational sound and invited into a journey of inner connection, guided by tones and melodies from the gong, singing bowls, harmonium, flutes, voice, and original songwriting. We'll end with some time for reflection and sharing.


Yoga mats and some blankets will be provided. Please bring any other props you need to be comfortable for an extended time on the ground.

Lunch

Lunch will be a nourishing and delicious, organic, high quality meal inspired by fall seasonal ingredients. Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, and animal protein options. Tea, yummy snacks, and healthy sweet treats will also be provided. In your registration form you will be asked for your meal preference and any dietary restrictions or allergies. We will do our best to accommodate, and reach out if there is any further communication needed.

Sauna & Cold Plunge

Sauna is clothing optional, and you are welcome to wear a swim suit if that is more comfortable for you. Towels will not be supplied, so please bring your own! Everyone will be asked to rinse off before getting in the cold plunge.

What will the other NOURISH Retreats be like?

In the Summer session, we'll embrace the creative, generous energy that summer gifts us. We'll celebrate the ways abundance shows up in our lives. And we'll make space for the quieter, more inward aspects of self—slowing down in order to integrate the expansion happening in this season.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Any props you'd like to feel extra cozy for the sound bath (yoga mats and some blankets provided)

  • Comfortable clothing & layers for varying temperatures (we will be inside & outside, weather permitting)

  • Water bottle

  • Journal or notebook & pen
